Private by design. Files you add are encrypted in this browser before they are stored — the passphrase and the encryption key never leave this device and are never sent to us. Even we cannot read what you put in the vault. Family accounts are live, but sharing a vault between them isn't here yet — for now this vault belongs to this device and this browser.

How it works
What the vault does — and what it doesn't
Straight answers, because a vault you don't understand is worse than a shoebox you do.
Encrypted on this device
Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your passphrase, before it is written to this browser's storage. The passphrase never leaves the device, and file names are encrypted too.
Even we can't read it
No copy of your vault is uploaded. There is no server-side key, no account, and no support path that could open your files. We could not read them if we wanted to.
Vault sharing comes later
Family accounts are live — sharing the vault between them, so the right person can open it in an emergency, arrives in a later update. For now the vault is tied to this device and this browser.
Keep your originals
This is a backup copy, not an archive of record. Keep the paper originals and your other backups. Clearing this browser's site data would remove the vault with them.
Limits, stated plainly: 20 MB per file; PDF, JPG, PNG and DOCX only; storage is this browser's, so a full device can refuse a large file; and if the passphrase is lost, the files cannot be recovered by anyone.
